The human body is a fascinating machine… but how does it really work on the inside?
From the mysteries of our brain to the latest advances in medical imaging, including lifesaving first aid techniques and understanding rare diseases, come explore the secrets of biology and medicine during Health Days (05/08/2026) at the Luxembourg Science Center!
On the agenda: interactive games, immersive experiments, and workshops to help you better understand how our body adapts and evolves.
For younger visitors: sensory activities, puzzles, and scientific games to unlock the mysteries of the human body while having fun!
ON THE AGENDA :
- WORKSHOP by LCSB – Decoding Our Cells: What can we do to keep our neurons healthy? What are the potential effects of the chemicals around us? How is our DNA linked to our health? Find answers to these questions by playing a board game on brain disease prevention, becoming a chemical detective, or crafting a bracelet based on DNA code. No reservation required. Ongoing booth activity.
- WORKSHOP by SCIENTEENS LAB – Wire the brain: Our brain is a fascinating organ. Neurons form a complex network that functions much like an orchestra. But what happens when this orchestra loses some of its musicians, as is the case with Parkinson's disease? Discover how quickly your brain can adapt to new situations, experience the symptoms faced by Parkinson's patients, and test your fine motor skills. No reservation required. Ongoing booth activity.
- WORKSHOP by LIH – The Diagnostic Journey of Rare Diseases: Follow the real-life journey of a patient with a rare disease. Using a boarding pass showing their symptoms and a game board, trace their path step by step: the doctors met, the tests taken, and the months or years spent waiting until the day of diagnosis. An activity to better understand what millions of patients and families worldwide experience while searching for answers. No reservation required. Ongoing booth activity.
- WORKSHOP by LUNEX – The Science of Movement: Discover the science of movement through fun, hands-on activities. Test your reaction time with interactive terminals, explore human anatomy by assembling a life-size skeleton puzzle, and (subject to availability) try a boomerang-throwing activity to learn more about coordination and movement. No reservation required. Ongoing booth activity.
- WORKSHOP by DEWIDONG – Lifesaving First Aid Techniques: In the event of a cardiac arrest, every second counts. Step into the shoes of a first responder and practice CPR techniques on our training mannequins. A hands-on activity to learn reflexes that save lives! No reservation required. Ongoing booth activity.
- WORKSHOP by LUXEMBOURG SCIENCE CENTER – Know your brain: How did the brain evolve, and do all living beings have one? How does the brain function, and how do neurons work together to control the entire body? Why do we have two cerebral hemispheres, and why do they have such an extraordinary structure? Our journey through neurobiology will answer many of these questions! Plus, we'll take a look inside your head and try to trick your brain. No reservation required. Ongoing booth activity.
- WORKSHOP by LUXEMBOURG SCIENCE CENTER – Medical Imaging: We will explore the various medical imaging techniques used by healthcare professionals, with a hands-on focus on ultrasound and ultrasonic waves. Limited seats available.
- SHOW by LUXEMBOURG SCIENCE CENTER – Anatomical Exploration (@Planetarium): Through a spectacular immersion into the heart of the human body, this fascinating journey will provide a clearer understanding of the essential mechanisms of life. Seated in the planetarium, visitors will be immersed inside their own anatomy to discover its secrets in a visual and interactive way. Limited seats available.
Whether you are curious or simply mindful of your health, this day will immerse you in the exciting world of the human body.
Don't miss this event! Book your tickets now and join us for a fascinating day.
